Personality: When met with someone of authority, Carlotta likes to take on a ditzy and childish persona for the purpose of annoying the other person. She is naturally mischievous however, enjoying a small joke every once in a while. She's proud of her intelligence, but she almost always feels the need to improve or refresh her mind. If push comes to shove, Carlotta will stand her ground if it kills her. A closet romantic, Carlotta secretly enjoys the simple gestures of affection (kisses to the cheek, love notes, etc.) Three words to overall describe her would be ambitious, intelligent, and mischievous.

Quirks?: -Gets very defensive and closed in whenever someone touches her hair. This is suspected to be a result of her attempted murder, in which the attacker continuously pulled at it.
-She also has fits when certain subjects are brought up and pushed, such as romance, relationships, and being addressed as inferior
-She labels her eye color 'Athena', in an appreciation of intelligence by naming her eye color after the Greek goddess of wisdom

Background: A quick learner among her school peers, Carlotta took up puzzle making at a young age as a simple hobby for after she got her homework done. As a plus, solving such puzzles would give her some extra attention from her parents. By the time she was 10 though, she began to use it in almost everything she did, and would constantly show off the result. Concerned, her parents tried to set her up with a psychiatrist, to which it was shown that the beginning signs of HPD were apparent. . Deciding then it was nothing to worry about, since it was caught on so early and she was given medicine, the parents sent her to a private school in Europe where she kept up her treatment, but also enhanced her 'puzzle projects' in secret until graduation at age 17. She kept doing so throughout her college career at Gotham University, where she made her class's valedictorian with degrees in computers, mathematics and science. Only during that graduation year, she found herself the victim of attempted murder by a total stranger who was after her device designs. This unlocked the darkness in her, what opened her want to be on the side of capital B.A.D. All she needed was inspiration on how to make her mark.

A year after graduating college in her mid twenties and getting a job as a computer programmer, which she was very bored with due to not receiving much attention from co-workers, she saw a report on the Riddler's first case. Upon seeing his work, she was intrigued at his use of intelligence so creatively, plus the media frenzy that came with it. She used her hacking skills in the company's mainframe computer to get promoted to department head and secretly set up a lab at home with parts she either stole from the company or bought herself. She began modeling her own work after Nigma's until she commits her first crime of killing her tormentors from childhood who teased her for her intelligence or looks. She got two men with jigsaw puzzle bombs, one female with a pyramid puzzle variation in which she was one of the poles, and a brother and sister duo by trapping them in twin giant Chinese puzzle boxes. She was about to get another man by burying him in a 'Rubix Cube Coffin' until Batman came to stop her. After being defeated, she was sent to Arkham Asylum and fired from her job.

Even more unluckily for her, Riddler is hating her guts for thinking she's copying off his style, but Carlotta's personality isn't about to let him think that. So as she continues her work, she's setting out to prove her originality to Riddler.
